Start in Neer, Steeg 6, junction 6
Close to the car park, you can view the interior of the richly decorated Sint-Martinus church through the side door. You walk through the centre of Neer, via the Kwir and a small tunnel to reach higher ground. On the way, you pass a Maria chapel and through one of Neer's oldest streets 'Kinkhoven'. Along the old Maasmeander, the Haelense beek, you reach restaurant Servaas. Be sure to visit the Saint Servaas chapel here, where the first Christians were baptised. Here you can also see that Nunhem lies on the natural border between the outflow area of the Meuse and the higher sandy soils.
Start in Nunhem, Kerkstraat 1, junction 54
Follow the Haelense beek and via the Landweer walk to Buggenum. Stop there at De Galgenberg, the name speaks for itself. After node 95, you come to the Dorpsstraat where you can see how beautiful houses have been turned into farmstead Noenever. House number 20 is the former Kapelanie formerly Pastorij.
Start in Buggenum, Dorpstraat 38 (Kerkplein), node 97
On the Kerkplein. From this spot you can see the one-sided buildings on Buggenums Broek. You pass picnic spot 'Aen het Kerkerhooft'. Parallel to the Meuse, you walk through the vast Buggenumse Veld towards Neer. Imagine here that in the undulations of the landscape, the Meuse used to meander. At junction 41 you cross the Neerbeek to the Friedesse mill. This water mill has been restored to its former glory and can be visited in the summer months.
