Mill
The mill stands out because of its hefty dimensions, spacious attics and strongly conical construction (cone-shaped) and the mound built of stone. This makes the Kreyel mill one of the most striking mills in the region. Parts of another discarded mill were used in its construction. Old grouting timbers serve as support beams for the cap loft.
Other joists, too, have had other functions, as evidenced by their scars. As a special feature, the mill still has a king running down to the floor of the stone attic. The bell doors are strikingly painted red-white-blue in herringbone form. Molen Sint Joseph in Nederweert can generally be visited on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. See our events calendar. In addition, viewing is possible by telephone appointment (0495-632454).
