The Herons of the Broek
As early as the 13th century, the water in this area protected the nearby Montfort castle. Later, peat was mainly extracted there. It is a unique nature reserve full of rare birds, amphibians, butterflies, dragonflies and plants. Badgers also live here. You can follow the dive of a tree falcon here. Or see a roe deer or a fox come out of the woods at dusk.
