The fascinating past of Montfort Castle
Because of the location on a ridge, polygonal ground plan and thick stone walls the castle was practically impregnable. After Henry's death in 1285, Montfort Castle belonged to the county of Gelre.
Let yourself be surprised at and around Montfort Castle by the fascinating past and the beautiful landscape of the "Heerlickheit Montfort". Creep in the dungeon.
