A ferry across the Meuse brings you to De Spaenjerd in Ophoven, Belgium, where a delicious lunch on the sunny terrace awaits.

Further on in the 'women's town' of Thorn, known for its white-painted houses, abbey church and monumental buildings, you will discover a history of women who led the little state for eight hundred years. Stud women and abbess queens ruled here over 'stud ladies' of high birth, groomed for life at court.
