Distance: 28 km. You start this extra loop in the monastery village on the Maas, Steyl. Here you will discover an exceptional enclave of Catholic heritage: a mission museum, a printing house, a botanical garden and several monasteries.

Many other nice Maas villages follow during the route, such as the castle village of Baarlo, Kessel which is surrounded by nature (the Leudal, the Heldense Bossen and De Groote Peel National Park) and the dragon village of Beesel.
