You cross the Maas by ferry and the route continues through Reuver. Here you walk via the Oude Veerweg along the Maas with a beautiful panorama of Kessel that lies high on the Meuse bank. In this panorama you can see both Castle de Keverberg and the church of architect Cuypers. The castle is definitely worth a visit.
At the water sports centre, you can see the Kesselse Weerd on your left. This is an old arm of the Maas. The Maas used to be the border and after canalisation of the Maas in the 20th century, Kessel had a piece of land on the other side.
A path along the edge of the forest takes you back in the direction of the ferry. Depending on the season, you may see fields of sugar beet, corn or asparagus. At junction 83 you come to the Sint Lambertus chapel. Here you can light a candle or write a wish in the guestbook.
After junction 74 you walk via a hollow road in the direction of the Maas and back to the ferry.
