- Meadows and wooded banks Next, the route leads you past picturesque meadows and characteristic wooded banks. Enjoy the expansive views and natural separations that characterize the landscape.
- Nature reserve "The Turfkoelen" A highlight of the hiking route is entering the marshy nature reserve "The Turfkoelen". A fascinating raised bog developed here in former times through the peat bogs, which now serves as a biotope for rare plants and various animal species.
- Slot Daelenbroeck and the Red Brook Along the route you pass the impressive Slot Daelenbroeck. Further on you reach the banks of the Roer, where you see the beautiful Rode Beek meandering. Due to its high iron content, the stream has a striking red color.
- Enchanting Effelder Waldsee Directly behind the Red Brook lies the Effelder Waldsee, which can already be admired from various vantage points. This idyllic location is a breathtaking part of the trail.
- Historic Gitstapper Mill On the route along the Red Brook you will come across the historic Gitstapper Mill. This water mill has been used for nearly 1,000 years and still functions as a grist mill. Visitors can buy flour and bread in the mill store, experiencing a piece of vibrant history. The area is also home to cozy cafes and playgrounds.
