Walking/hiking routes

The hiking route Borders of Venray is a long-distance route of 88 km that you can divide into your own stages if you wish. The route connects the Meuse and the Defence Canal via fields, stream valleys, woods and heathland with the Peel.

The Borders of Venray

The walking route is easy to follow via the junctions of the municipality of Venray, Land van Cuijk and Horst aan de Maas. On the junction posts you will also find signposts of Borders of Venray in the direction to the next junction number. In principle, the walk can start at any posted node pole. The Borders of Venray route is marked in both walking directions.

Practical information

Please note that some sections on the Borders of Venray walking route can be wet depending on the weather. So wear good and water-resistant shoes. At high tide in the Meuse basin, some sections are not passable. There are several catering points on the route, but not everywhere. For long distances without catering points, bring your own drinks and possibly something to eat.
