De Keverberg castle
Castle De Keverberg is not to be missed! The striking castle towers high above the village's historic core. The more than thousand-year-old castle was rebuilt a few years ago from a ruin into the most modern castle in the Netherlands. A unique building where past and present meet. You are welcome to see this special castle inside and out.
Opening hours change per season, check the website of De Keverberg for the current opening hours.
Fun activities at Castle De Keverberg
Combine your visit to the castle with a fun activity: how about Code Keverberg or Secret of the Baron? Two fun interactive treasure hunts in and around the castle! During the summer holidays, there are various extra activities and King Walram, among others, comes to our castle for a few days to entertain the children with an exciting story and a tour of his castle! There are also fun craft activities and you can explore the castle yourself with the digital tour on the IZI app.
Keverberg ExplorAR
New at Castle De Keverberg is Keverberg ExplorAR! With ExplorAR, visitors, equipped with a tablet, literally explore the castle using an AR (augmented reality) application. In different, impressive rooms, visitors search for objects that provide more information about the story of Baron Frits. Baron Frits not only tells his own life story, but also the history of the centuries-old castle, reviving a different piece of the past in each room. A fun, unique and educational outing for the whole family or as a school outing. Please note: tickets for Keverberg ExplorAR can only be purchased online.
Maasterras
The Maasterras and, weather permitting, the covered courtyard are always accessible free of charge for a cup of coffee with Limburg flan or a delicious glass of wine! In short, enough ingredients for a pleasant day out.
Maasdorp Kessel
A pleasant day out at Castle De Keverberg in Kessel. Kessel is a village with a rich history. The picturesque market, the narrow streets, monumental buildings and stately farmhouses take you back to earlier times. You can discover many sights on foot or by bike. Like the pride of Kessel, Castle De Keverberg.
